2/11/2024 0 Comments Hi-fi rush peppermint and korsikaIt does seem pretty fucked for a game that's about matching the beat and rhythm to be able to be S-ranked by just mashing assists. Our main lead, a 25 year old wannabe rocker college dropout with a disabled arm. Probably some kind of global cooldown or requiring assist calls to be on beat to combat just mashing L2 R2 and stunlocking the entire room. A fun little fast forward video player effect that powers through all of the usual unskippable stuff comes to mind. Also make it possible to skip dialogue easier and faster or cutting it out of pre-fight stuff on retries would be nice. Retrying the current chorus is a must and being able to restart boss fights is also a must. Much better retry options need to be available. There are options in training mode to speed up the tempo, but it only shows up in the game in floors 51 - 59 of the Rhythm Tower and no where else. I don't know if you put in things analogous to Devil Trigger that up the tempo or slow the tempo, or if you put in enemies that do stuff like that, but something needs to be done. It can be fun to dash-dash-dash-attack-dash-dash-dash while moving between fights, but it's not fun after like 4 levels.Ĭombat needs some variation with tempos. Bonus points if it's something fun like Chai riding his guitar like a hoverboard or something. Please for the love of god put in DMC4/5 style sprinting. I'm surprised they put in these sliding animations for the cast, where you're also able to control Chai, but they didn't do some kind of sliding section set to music. They needed more traversal rhythm sections that worked like the rails. Traversing between punchy rhythm sections like the rail rides right into combat and then back again was fun. The shorter and more tightly choreographed sequences like end of track 4 and track 11 were the best parts of the game. Make more levels or Choruses that are like the end sequence of track 4.
